Garnett Keith

Senior Advisor

Garnett Keith serves as Senior Adviser to Thomas Capital Group. Garnett is currently Chairman and CEO of SeaBridge Investment Advisors, a registered investment advisor managing global portfolios for high net worth clients.

From 1984 to 1996, Garnett was Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of The Prudential Insurance Company of America, supervising the company's global investment activities comprising roughly $250 billion at year-end 1995. Between 1977 and 1984, he oversaw Prudential's Corporate Finance and Pension Asset Management activities. As Chief Investment Officer, Garnett was responsible for Prudential's investment operations in nine foreign countries. Prior to joining Prudential, he was Vice President and General Manager of Irwin Management Company, a private asset management company. In addition to managing assets for family clients, Irwin managed a partnership funded by a small number of European financial institutions.

Garnett is a Trustee of The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a philanthropic endowment with assets of $13 billion, and serves as Chairman of HHMI's Finance Committee, overseeing its investment programs. He is also a Trustee of Drew University, in Madison, New Jersey. He is a Director of JPK Enterprises, and serves on the Board of Directors of AEA Investors, Inc., a prominent private equity investing organization in New York, serving as Chairman of AEA's Investment Committee. Garnett also serves on the boards of Pan-Holding S.A., a Luxembourg mutual fund managed by Societe d'Analyses Economiques et Financieres, (SAEF) and Philippe Investment Management, an institutional money manager located in Paris and New York. He is a director of Tokyo-based Komatsu Portfolio Advisors, and e-harmon.com, an Internet investment company in San Francisco.

In the corporate world, Garnett is a board member of SuperValu, Inc., the country's largest food wholesaler, and Y-Clip.com, a private Internet marketing company in Austin, Texas. Garnett holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech and received an M.B.A., with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
